Scholarship Benefits
Annual cash payment of up to $3500.
Payments after the census Trimester 1 $2000 and Trimester 2 $1500.
Eligibility Criteria
All scholarships at Deakin University have eligibility requirements.
When submitting your Expression of Interest, you must check that you meet all requirements.
To be eligible you must:
- Obtaining a Western Chances Scholarship after completing VCE (may have completed a gap year up to two years)
- be a domestic student
- begin a Commonwealth-supported undergraduate degree program at Deakin in Trimester/Semester 1 2023
- not possess a bachelor’s degree.

For this scholarship, there is no application form.
If you have previously received or are currently receiving a Western Chances Scholarship, please send an Expression of Interest to [email protected]. Please provide:
- your name
- your secondary school
- your course at Deakin or your Student ID.
Western Chances will check your eligibility directly.
