About the Boise State University (BSU)

Boise State University (BSU) is a public university in Boise, Idaho. The Episcopal Church founded it in 1932, and it became an independent junior college in 1934. It has been giving bachelor and master’s degrees since 1965.

Boise State University offers 201 degrees in 190 fields of study, as well as over 100 graduate programs, including the MBA and MAcc programs in the College of Business and Economics, Masters and PhD programs in the Colleges of Engineering, Arts & Sciences, and Education, and the MPA program in the College of Social Sciences & Public Affairs.

Scholarship Benefit

The Global Excellence Scholarship has a maximum value of $17,337.10 each academic year. The Global Distinction Scholarship has a maximum value of $8,668.55 each school year.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants to the master’s level of the awards program must:

  • Be first-year undergraduate students at Boise State University.
  • Have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.00 (Global Distinction Scholarship) or 3.50. (Global Excellence Scholarship).
  • Study a relevant major. These prizes are not available for nursing, pre-nursing, radiology, and pre-radiology programs, as well as self-supported and totally online programs.
  • By the indicated time, submit your admissions application, all needed admissions paperwork, and the Global Scholarship application to International Admissions. Before students may apply for a Global Scholarship, they must first apply for admission and pay the application cost.

Global Scholarship candidates often display ambitious academic or professional aspirations, a dedication to positively affecting the Boise State community, and the capacity to overcome hardship, in addition to academic accomplishment.

How to apply

Students must have all admissions application papers and the supplementary scholarship application filed by the appropriate dates in order to be eligible for the Global Excellence and Global Distinction Scholarships.
