Is There a Post-UTME Exam for DELSU Technical Education in 2025?

DELSU has completely changed their admission requirement for the department of Technical Education. The school management is no longer conducting post UTME exams for student for the academic session of 2025/2026. As of 2024 and the previous years, admission into the department of Technical Education is based on your JAMB score which is 60% plus your post UTME exam score which is 40%, but for the 2025/2026 academic session your admission into the department of Technical Education is based on your JAMB score which sum up to 70% and your O’ Level grades which is 30%. This process has made things easier for student travelling from long distance to write the exam for a day and travel back the next day thereby reducing stress and inconveniences.

How to Calculate Your DELSU Aggregate

DELSU has introduced a new admission system for the 2025/2026 academic session which comprises of your JAMB score (70%) and WAEC/NECO (30%). This means no more Post UTME examinations, saving you the burden of traveling to Delta State, specifically Abraka, to write the exams.

To calculate this, divide your JAMB score by 400, then multiply the result by 70. For example, if you scored 224 in JAMB: 224 ÷ 400 = 0.56, then 0.56 × 70 = 39.2. Your JAMB aggregate is 39.2 out of 70 possible points.
