In Adelaide, South Australia, there is a public university called Flinders University. It was established in 1966 and is called in honour of the explorer and surveyor of the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century, Matthew Flinders.

Each scholarship will be worth $5,000 per year, paid in equal installments after each semester’s census date. The number of scholarships will depend on the amount of funds available. Each student’s maximum funding will be determined by the length of the course, up to a maximum of six years.

Typically reside in South Australia; and
Typically be enrolled at Flinders University full-time.

Part-time students with extenuating circumstances that prevent them from studying full-time may submit an application (e.g. disabilities, carer responsibilities). Part-time recipients are compensated proportionally.
