Playford Trust / OZ Minerals Scholarship for International Students at Flinders University 2023

In collaboration with OZ Minerals, the Playford Trust is offering a $9000 Honours scholarship in geology, mining engineering, or chemical engineering at any of South Australia’s three institutions.

OZ Minerals is a South Australian-based multinational, contemporary mining business focusing on copper. OZ Minerals, which is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX100), has a growth strategy centered on producing value for all stakeholders.

It owns and runs the copper-gold mines at Prominent Hill and Carrapateena in South Australia. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be:

  • Prepared to begin Honours studies in geology, mining engineering, or chemical engineering at any of South Australia’s three universities

     

  • An Australian citizen or a permanent residence visa holder who lives in South Australia

     

  • Intentionally intending to spend a large portion of their career in South Australia, or likely to benefit the State

     

  • A high achiever having an outstanding undergraduate record

     

  • Characteristic of a decent person. Students with shown leadership potential will be given priority.
