The Robert Nicol Trust is an educational charity that provides small financial awards to students from or residing in the Aberdeen region who are enrolled in courses of various post-school level.

Robert Nicol, a native of Aberdeen, established a textile business in Manchester during the latter half of the nineteenth century.

In his will, he stipulated that, upon the demise of his wife, the majority of his estate would be distributed “for the advancement and promotion of education in the City and County of Aberdeen”

Please note that this grant is only accessible to students attending the Aberdeen campus.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have been born in the City or County of Aberdeen, or, if they were born elsewhere, they must have resided continuously in the City or County of Aberdeen for at least five years immediately preceding the application dates.
