The President’s Scholarship for Global Leaders (Graduate) is awarded to overseas students enrolling in a graduate degree at the University of Winnipeg for the first time.
Candidates must have an admissions average of at least 80 percent or its equivalent and must participate in activities that exhibit leadership. Students in their qualifying year or Pre-Masters are ineligible.

About the University of Winnipeg
The University of Winnipeg (UWinnipeg) is a public university in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada that provides undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of art, business and economics, education, science, kinesiology, and applied health.
The founding colleges of UWinnipeg were Manitoba College and Wesley College, which united in 1938 to establish United College. After United College acquired its charter in 1967, the University of Winnipeg was founded.
The governance was modeled after the provincial University of Toronto Act of 1906, which established a bicameral system of university government with a senate (faculty) responsible for academic policy and a board of governors (citizens) exercising exclusive control over financial policy and having formal authority over all other matters. The president, who was appointed by the board, served as a connection between the governing bodies.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
- Have a minimum 80% entrance average or similar
- Participate as an international student
- Beginning the inaugural year of any program
- Exhibit exemplary leadership qualities
- Submit a full application for acceptance by the scholarship’s due date.
Students in their qualifying year or Pre-Masters are ineligible.
