The Victoria University of Wellington Scholarship 2023 is now accepting applications in New Zealand. Tongarewa Scholarships are available to international students from all around the world at Victoria University of Wellington. Students interested in pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in New Zealand are urged to apply. The scholarship is valid for the school year 2022-2023.

Students with a strong educational background who are enrolling in their first year of undergraduate or postgraduate studies are eligible to apply for the grant. 10 NZ$10,000 scholarships are available for bachelors and masters degree students, while 9 NZ$5,000 prizes are available for masters degree students exclusively. Every year, 110 PhD awards are granted to students, each worth $27,500 in stipend + tuition costs. Once a candidate has been accepted to university, the grant can be used to pay for tuition.

Wellington’s Victoria University was founded in 1897. The university is placed 215th in the world’s top universities, according to the QS World University Rankings 2021. Students can study a variety of talents at the university because of the excellent teaching structure. In New Zealand, students get the best opportunity to study for free.

Financial Benefits:

Undergraduate and Master’s degree students will receive a NZ$10,000 Victoria University of Wellington Scholarship 2023 for International Students. There are ten awards in all. Only Masters degree candidates will be given 9 rewards of NZ$5,000 each. The scholarship is for a year. A total of 110 prizes worth a total of $27,500 in stipends plus tuition fees will be given to doctoral students.

To apply for Tongarewa Scholarship in New Zealand applicants need to fulfill following criteria:

  • Previous Degree Transcript or Degree Certificate and any other educational document
  • Conditional or Unconditional offer letter from Victoria University of Wellington.
  • Maximum of 500 words Personal Statement explaining the following:
    • Why you want to study at this University
    • Educational goals of candidate
    • Why you will be selected for this award
    • You can also provide any leadership positions and details of your participation in your university, school or community.

The last date to apply for Tongarewa Scholarship Trimester 1, 2022 is 30th November 2021. And closing date to apply for Tongarewa Scholarship Trimester 2, 2022 is 1st June 2022. And closing date to apply for Tongarewa Scholarship Trimester 3, 2022 is 1st September 2022. PhD students can apply until 1st July 2022.
