Enter available study days and hours/day to see your total available study time.

How It Works

Total available study hours is simply your available study days multiplied by the hours/day you can realistically commit. If you also enter a target total hours goal, the calculator divides that target by your available days to show the hours/day you'd need - and flags whether that pace is achievable given the hours/day you already entered, along with the surplus or shortfall in total hours. An optional exam date is shown purely for context (days remaining until it), and doesn't change the calculation itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between 'available study days' and the exam date?+

Available study days is the number of days you're actually setting aside to study, which you choose yourself. The exam date is optional and shown only for context (how many days away it is) - it isn't required for the calculation, in case your study days don't run all the way up to the exam.

What does 'not on track' mean?+

It means the hours/day required to hit your target total exceeds the hours/day you said you can realistically commit - so at your current pace you'd fall short. You can close the gap by adding more study days, increasing your hours/day, or lowering the target.

Is the target total hours required, or optional?+

Optional. Leave it blank to just see your total available study hours from your days and hours/day - only fill it in if you have a specific hours goal (e.g. from a syllabus or study plan) you want to check against.
