How It Works
Your exact age is calculated as a calendar difference between your date of birth and the 'as of' date (today, by default): full years first, then the remaining whole months, then the remaining whole days. Total days lived is the exact number of 24-hour days between the two dates. Days until your next birthday finds the next occurrence of your birth month/day on or after the 'as of' date - if your birthday is today, that's shown as 0 days. Feb 29 birthdays are treated as Feb 28 in non-leap years. All dates are read using your device's local time zone, not the server's, so the result matches the calendar day you actually selected.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my age in months/days look different from a simple subtraction?+
Because months have different lengths, a simple day-count subtraction can be misleading. This tool does calendar-accurate math: it counts full years, then full months within the current year, then the leftover days - the same way you'd count age by hand using a calendar.
What happens if I was born on February 29?+
In years that aren't leap years, your birthday is treated as February 28 for the purposes of counting your current age and finding your next birthday, since February 29 doesn't exist that year.
Does this use my time zone or the server's?+
Your device's local time zone. The calculator runs entirely in your browser using the date you select, so 'today' always matches your own calendar day rather than a server in a different time zone.
Can I calculate my age as of a future or past date instead of today?+
Yes - change the 'as of' date to any date you like (e.g. your graduation date) to see how old you'll be, or were, on that day.
