Enter both dates above to see the difference between them.

How It Works

The difference between your two dates is calculated as a calendar breakdown: full years, then remaining full months, then remaining days - the same way you'd count it manually. Total days and total weeks are also shown as flat counts (total weeks is total days divided by 7, rounded down). The order you enter the dates doesn't matter - the calculator always works out which is earlier automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it matter which date I put first?+

No - enter the two dates in any order. The calculator automatically works out which is earlier and shows a positive difference either way.

Why is 'total weeks' not the same as dividing years/months/days by 7?+

Total weeks is calculated directly from the total number of days between the two dates (total days ÷ 7, rounded down), not from the years/months/days breakdown - months don't divide evenly into weeks, so mixing the two would give an inconsistent number.

Can I use this to count down to a deadline?+

For a simple day count, yes - use today as one of the dates. If you want a live, ticking countdown instead, use the Countdown Timer.
