Countdown Timer

Name an upcoming event and pick its date and time to see a live, ticking countdown in days, hours, minutes, and seconds - useful for deadlines, ceremonies, or any date you're counting down to.

Using Countdown Timer as a Guest Student

Save your student profile to track computations, past questions & GPA targets.

Enter an event name and date/time above to start the countdown.

How It Works

The countdown is the difference between the current moment and your chosen target date/time, recalculated every second and broken down into whole days, hours, minutes, and seconds. Everything runs in your browser using your device's local clock and time zone, so the countdown always reflects the time where you actually are. Your last countdown is remembered in this browser (not sent anywhere) so it's still there if you come back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the countdown keep running if I leave the tab open?+

Yes - it updates every second for as long as the page is open. If you close the tab and come back, the countdown recalculates fresh from the current time, and your event name/date are restored from this browser if you saved one.

What time zone is the countdown based on?+

Your device's local time zone. The date/time you pick is treated as local time, and the countdown compares it against your device's current local clock.

What happens when the countdown reaches zero?+

The timer switches to showing that the event has already happened, along with how long ago it passed.

Is my event saved anywhere online?+

No - it's optionally kept in your browser's local storage purely as a convenience so you don't have to re-enter it, and is never sent to MyDelsu's servers.
