Course Eligibility Checker

Enter your O'Level subjects and grades, your JAMB subjects and score, and a course, to check eligibility. The comparison engine is fully functional, but MyDelsu has not verified DELSU's specific per-course requirements yet — so until real data is added, results will honestly show 'Unable to Determine' rather than a guessed answer, alongside the general eligibility concepts below.

How It Works

Nigerian university admission generally screens candidates on three things: (1) O'Level subjects and grades — usually specific subjects at credit level or better, (2) a JAMB subject combination — the right subjects must have been sat at UTME, and (3) a minimum JAMB (and often Post-UTME/aggregate) score. This tool compares whatever you enter against a course's stored requirement, when one exists, and reports Eligible, Possibly Eligible (your subjects and grades check out, but your score is below the listed minimum — score cut-offs move year to year and admission also depends on Post-UTME screening), Not Eligible (a required subject or grade is missing), or Unable to Determine (no verified requirement data exists yet for that course).

MyDelsu is an independent student platform and is not affiliated with DELSU administration. This tool is provided for guidance only — always verify results against your official transcript, result slip, or academic regulations.

Status: Not-yet-verified for per-course data. The comparison engine itself is fully functional and general-purpose, but DELSU's specific per-course O'Level/JAMB/score requirements are not yet verified or populated — every course currently resolves to 'Unable to Determine' until real, confirmed data is added.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this show 'Unable to Determine' for my course?+

Because MyDelsu has not been able to verify DELSU's official, published per-course requirement (O'Level subjects/grades, JAMB combination, minimum score) for that course. Rather than guess a number and risk misleading you, the tool honestly says it doesn't know. Check with the department directly, or DELSU's official admission office, for the confirmed requirement.

What's the difference between 'Not Eligible' and 'Possibly Eligible'?+

'Not Eligible' means a hard requirement is missing — a required O'Level subject/grade or JAMB subject isn't in what you entered. 'Possibly Eligible' means your subjects and grades check out, but your JAMB score is below the listed minimum — that's a real gap, but cut-offs can shift and admission also depends on Post-UTME screening and available slots, so it isn't a guaranteed 'no'.

Does 'Eligible' mean I'll definitely be admitted?+

No — it means you meet the listed subject, grade, and score requirements for that course. Actual admission also depends on Post-UTME screening performance, available slots, and DELSU's official selection process.
