O'Level Requirement Checker
Select up to 9 O'Level subjects and the grades you have, plus a course, to check the requirement. The checker itself is fully functional, but MyDelsu has not verified DELSU's specific per-course O'Level requirements yet — until real data is added, results honestly show 'Unable to Determine' rather than a guessed requirement.

How It Works
Nigerian tertiary admission generally requires a set of O'Level (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) subjects at credit level or better — commonly cited as C6 or better on the standard 9-point O'Level grading scale (A1 being best, F9 a fail). English Language and Mathematics are almost always required regardless of course, plus subjects relevant to the specific course (e.g. sciences for science-based courses). This reflects common Nigerian university conventions generally, not a confirmed DELSU-specific policy — always verify DELSU's exact requirement with the department. This tool compares your entered subjects/grades against a course's stored requirement, when one exists.
MyDelsu is an independent student platform and is not affiliated with DELSU administration. This tool is provided for guidance only — always verify results against your official transcript, result slip, or academic regulations.
Status: Not-yet-verified for per-course data. The comparison logic is fully functional and reflects general, widely-known Nigerian tertiary-admission conventions, but DELSU's specific per-course O'Level requirements are not yet verified or populated — every course currently resolves to 'Unable to Determine' until real, confirmed data is added.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does this show 'Unable to Determine' for my course?+
Because MyDelsu has not been able to verify DELSU's official, published O'Level requirement for that specific course. Rather than guess which subjects or grade level are required, the tool honestly says it doesn't know yet. Check with the department directly, or DELSU's official admission office, for the confirmed requirement.
What does 'credit level' mean?+
On the standard O'Level grading scale, A1 through C6 are considered credit passes, while D7/E8 are ordinary passes and F9 is a fail. Most Nigerian tertiary admission requirements ask for credits (C6 or better), not just passes, in the relevant subjects — this is a general convention, not a DELSU-specific figure.
Does this tool accept NECO results, not just WAEC?+
Yes — enter your subjects and grades regardless of examination body; the credit-level comparison (A1-C6) works the same way across WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB's equivalent scales.
