When grouped together, the Cogent and JFE Shoji Steel America businesses give JFE Shoji the ability to grab a higher market share in the electrical steel market for both transformer and automotive products.
This is made possible by the combination of the two companies. As a result of their merger, Cogent and JFE Shoji have become one of the world’s largest processors of electrical steel transformers.
In addition to its factory in Tijuana, Mexico, JFE Shoji presently operates a number of other production and processing establishments across the continent of Asia.
